Route Description

1. Leave the carpark onto the railway line trail and turn right to head north. You can’t get lost on this ride! Follow the railway line as far as it goes. Ride through Hurdlow ‘train station’ now another carpark, and an alternative starting point if you wish, and continue to the very end of the High Peak Trail.

2. Pass through the gate and turn left onto a bridleway that runs along the edge of Dowlow Quarry. At the end of the bridleway, turn left onto a road and follow this quiet lane to the T-junction.

3.Turn left at the end of the road, by the pub, and then cross over the road down the stony track that says ‘No vehicle access to High Peak Trail’. You will now be back at Hurdlow station. Return to Parsley Hay back along the disused railway line.

Tip: Combine this with the Hartington and Gratton Dale rides!
